Preparation:
None (or you could prepare a grid for students to fill in with the character traits / physical features you’d like them to focus on).
In class:
Elicit the characters in a story or fairy story (hero, heroine, sidekick, villain, monster, etc.). Ask students to create their own characters and find a google image of them. This may work the other way around with students finding a picture of their character and then describing them.
Feedback: Get students to describe their character(s) to the class.
Remarks:
If you’d like this to be a bit quicker, you could allocate a different character to different students.
You can use these characters in a follow-up lesson, e.g. Colour Stories.
